Fighting Our Way Up...From the Losers' Bracket

Here we are in lovely Appleton, WI, site of the 2006 North American Fastpitch Association World Series. Earl's Club of Kenosha, WI won their first game of the series yesterday afternoon. Then in a move which Mike predicted, Earl's lost their 10 p.m. game because I wasn't there. That apparently has been a jinx in the past as well as yesterday. I was huddled in a hotel room in the dark, hoping that both my children would fall fast asleep, and stay that way for at least 8 hours. A kept asking for popcorn; she was starving because she hadn't eaten the lunch or supper we'd provided her, so a learning lesson was in place- eat when we feed you, being hungry doesn't feel good. Poor little belly... this morning, A had a hearty breakfast of bagel pieces with peanut butter, milk, and O's. Now I'm hearing a repeating mantra of, "should we get a swimming suit on for swimming????" Yes, we should. I'll talk to you later- gotta go, the pool is COLD!
